Before xmas darling boyf and I went to see Phillip Pullman’s The Golden Compass and I came away convinced that our 18-month-old cats – pippin and merry – actually are our ‘daemons’ – miniature furry versions of us. Pip – the neurotic one, being me - obviously ;-) and merry – the greedy one – being darling boyf’s!

Since then a friend has sent me a link to a site where you answer a ton of questions about yourself and then it tells you what animal your daemon would be… I filled all the answers in and clicked on the button to get the results – great anticipation – wondering whether my favourite animal (anything of the big cat variety but preferably a tiger) would turn out to be my ‘Golden Compass’ daemon…

Yay, even better, apparently my daemon is a snow leopard called Aenad.

The interesting thing though is the way they define your personality by judging the answers you gave to the questions… according to this quiz I am ‘modest’ (hmmmmm), ‘inquisitive’ (soooooooo true), ‘outgoing’ (I guess so), ‘competative’ (to my shame) and ‘proud’ (not sure on that one – depends on the definition of proud I guess).

Its funny, but I think that that might be a pretty good description of me… not wonderful by any stretch of the imagination but not too awful either I hope ;-)

The best thing about it really though is that they chose the snow leopard to be my daemon! For those of you that have seen the film you’ll know that the character of Lord Asriel (played by the gorgeously sexy Daniel Craig, swoon swoon) also has a snow leopard as his daemon… what more proof could a girl possibly need that she is destined to be the future Mrs Craig!!!

btw - for those interested, click here to find your own daemon. Have fun ;-)

I think that daemon test is pants – it said I was a mouse named Callum. Not sure how I feel about that!
